SALEEN ANNOUNCES 20th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF S7 SUPERCAR IN AUGUST 2020
High-performance automaker is actively recruiting current S7 owners to participate in the world’s largest S7 gathering during Monterey Car Week 2020
CORONA, Calif. (August 16, 2019) – In August 2000 during the Monterey Historic Races, Steve Saleen unveiled an entirely original production vehicle that would usher in a new era of supercar design and performance and dominate racetracks worldwide: the Saleen S7.
To mark two decades of Saleen’s groundbreaking supercar, Steve Saleen is once again returning to Monterey, Calif. with plans to host the world’s largest gathering of S7 models and celebrate the iconic car.
Launched as “America’s first production supercar,” the Saleen S7 represented a new kind of hyper performance car that was designed for the street yet remained true to its racing origins and proved itself capable of winning on the world’s most iconic racetracks. The innovative car was designed, engineered and built by Saleen using the latest F1 racing technology, combining lightweight carbon fiber bodywork with a naturally aspirated 7-liter engine that delivered 550 horsepower and a top speed of 220 miles per hour.
“The S7 was immediately competitive in motorsports from day one, winning over 100 professional races at the world’s top racetracks including Daytona, Nürburgring, Silverstone, Imola, Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Le Mans – and that was just in the first ten years of its existence,” said Saleen Automotive CEO and Founder, Steve Saleen. “There’s a lot to celebrate with the S7 over the past two decades.”
Today, the Saleen S7 is regarded as a modern classic, with an increasing presence at events like the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance and in the world’s most prestigious museums, car collections and auction houses. Yet, the groundbreaking S7 is still pushing the boundaries of supercar performance. Recently, Saleen Automotive introduced the S7 Le Mans edition – a limited run of seven Twin Turbo S7s built at the company’s facilities in Corona, Calif. producing an astonishing 1500 horsepower that pushes the supercar from 0-60 miles per hour in 2.2 seconds. All seven S7 Le Mans editions were sold before assembly began, at a price of $1 million each.
Saleen is actively recruiting current S7 owners to participate in a meet-up and celebration of the supercar in August 2020, during “Monterey Car Week.” Specific details will be announced soon, but the event plans to feature the world’s largest gathering of S7 models in one place and will be attended by Steve Saleen and other key figures responsible for the iconic supercar. Details for the event will be available soon. S7 owners who are interested in participating in the 20th anniversary celebrations next year are encouraged to contact Saleen Automotive directly at hello@saleen.com to register for the event and receive more information.
“Being a specialized hand-built supercar, the S7 was never a mass-produced vehicle, so S7 owners are in a fairly exclusive club,” added Saleen. “As we prepare to celebrate 20 years of our flagship supercar, we are hoping to connect with as many S7 owners as possible to join us in Monterey next year.”

Steve Saleen celebrates 35 years with ‘Vision 2020’ plan, establishing over 25 brand experience retail stores in the U.S.and expanding into new global markets with business partnership in China
CORONA, Calif. (July 23, 2019) – After 35 years of automotive industry accomplishments, and close to five decades of racing milestones, Steve Saleen is only just getting started.
The legendary racer-turned-automaker is celebrating the 35th anniversary of his founding of Saleen Automotive to announce “Vision 2020,” a major five-year expansion plan for the California company starting next year – which, thanks to pioneering new model launches and a global business partnership, will be the most eventful half-decade in its history.
At the core of Saleen’s future is the Saleen 1, the turbocharged, 450hp mid-engine sportscar designed in the spirit of the legendary Saleen S7, the most successful supercar in motorsports history. At a projected MSRP of $100K, the Saleen 1 delivers a “sports car with supercar credentials,” combining Saleen design and styling with racing-inspired performance.
To meet exponential growth in demand for performance vehicles in China, Saleen announced a business partnership with Jiangsu Saleen Automotive Technology, Co. (JSAT) that will help Saleen expand its footprint into growing global markets with an emphasis on China. The joint venture leverages Saleen’s world-class design and engineering expertise with the mass production capabilities of JSAT – which recently completed construction of a 2.5 million square foot manufacturing plant in Rugao City, near Shanghai.
JSAT’s world-class automated production facility has ample production capacity to cater for the surging demand for sports cars and passenger vehicles in China. The first Saleen vehicles for the Chinese market roll off the assembly lines in 2020, including an original Steve Saleen-designed and racing-inspired SUV model and Saleen 1 sports car for distribution in China. Saleen Automotive will produce the Saleen 1 at a U.S. manufacturing facility for sales in the U.S. market.
Today’s announcement by the founder and CEO of Saleen Automotive comes days after a high-profile ‘Saleen Night’ event hosted by Steve Saleen and Charles Wang, CEO of Jiangsu Saleen Automotive Technology, at the “Bird’s Nest” National Stadium in Beijing. In addition to announcements by Wang and Saleen celebrating the arrival of the Saleen brand to China, the star-studded July 20 event included a performance by Chinese pop star Kris Wu and a special appearance by action movie star Jason Statham, who is a brand ambassador for Saleen in China.
The attending audience of over 24,000 people were treated to demonstration laps of the new Saleen 1 models, Saleen S7 supercar and the unveiling of the new Saleen-designed SUV model by world famous stunt driver Tanner Foust, and Saleen Cup racers Martina Kwan and Hanna Zellers. The festivities were broadcast live by CCTV to more than 100 million households in China.
For the U.S. domestic market, a key focus for Saleen in 2020 is strengthening and renewing its retail operations, increasing the number of dealers supporting the best-in-class Saleen Signature vehicles, including the Saleen S302 Mustang and Saleen Sportruck models and establishing new retail facilities in over 25 cities throughout North America. These retail locations will include company-owned and operated “Saleen Experience” stores, which provide an immersive interaction with the Saleen brand and products – plus a close look at the company’s extensive racing success and history.
Separately, the company has plans to establish multiple dedicated Saleen Original dealerships throughout North America that will provide a sales and service network for the new Saleen 1 sports car, iconic Saleen S7 supercar and other upcoming original Saleen vehicles.
Following the company’s return to motorsports in 2019 with the introduction of the Saleen Cup “arrive and drive” racing series showcasing the all-new Saleen 1 sports car, Saleen is also reinforcing its commitment to professional motorsports in 2020 with the official team entry to the GT4 series with SRO World Challenge and also introducing the Saleen China GT, which will bring the first “arrive and drive” racing series to Asia, also starting next year.

Mar 20, 2015 | Mustang
Saleen Automotive Inc. (OTCQB: SLNN) Los Angeles, CA – (March 20, 2015)
Earlier this year, Saleen Automotive released their 2015 White and Yellow Label 302 Mustangs to much fanfare. To round out their fleet, Saleen pulled out all the stops and developed one of the best Mustangs to date. This car is set to change the way pony cars are looked at from here on out. At a one-of-a-kind event in Downtown LA, Saleen raised the curtain on the latest pony car out of their Corona, CA headquarters.
“Since I started building cars in 1984 my goal has always been to go above and beyond where anybody has been before”, said Steve Saleen. “This will by far be the most refined and advanced Mustang we have built to date.”
With over 30 years of experience in both racing and manufacturing vehicles, it was only a matter of time before Saleen built a Mustang as comprehensive and technologically advanced as the 2015 302 Black Label.
Power
Saleen combined the reliability and potency of the 5.0L Coyote motor with a twin-screw supercharger. The pair produces the most power from a production Mustang yet at 730 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque on 91 octane gas.
“From the beginning of this project, we have always known that we wanted to create the most powerful production Mustang we have ever built”, said Sven Etzelsberger, V.P. of Engineering. “I can happily say that we have accomplished this goal with great success.”
Suspension, Brakes, Wheels and Tires
The 2015 Saleen 302 Black Label not only outperforms every competitor in engine performance, but also outshines even previous generation Saleen Mustangs in handling. This is because the chassis consists of an independent suspension on all four corners. Outfitted with Saleen S4 springs, shocks, swaybars, and bushings, this setup offers complete performance and handling for both on and off the track.
A massive set of 15-inch dimpled rotors and multi-piston brakes bring the car back down from hyperspeed. “A brake setup of this caliber is perfectly fit on an ultra-high performance vehicle like the Black Label 302”, added Etzelsberger.
Keeping the Black Label planted to the road are 275/35R20 tires in the front and 275/40R20 tires in the rear. These are wrapped around a set of Saleen 20 inch 5-spoke alloy wheels that are available in multiple finishes.
Design
By far the most advanced design out of Saleen, the Black Label 302 combines the legacy that Saleen is known for with unconventional design elements and materials for a truly unique vehicle inside and out, top to bottom. This all-new Saleen vehicle started with finely tuned aerodynamic body components. As always, Saleen has spent considerable time optimizing lift over drag (L/D) and this vehicle is no exception. Lengthened an inch and a half in the front and almost two inches in the rear helps to increase the airfoil, thereby increasing downforce over the entire vehicle. A trademark Saleen rear wing balances the downforce created by the front air splitter. Carbon fiber body components help to lighten the overall weight of the vehicle.
The interior is a mix of luxury and styling with black leather and suede seats accented in contrasting chevrons. A high contrast gauge cluster provides key vitals to the driver at a glance. Harking back to Saleen’s racing heritage is a leather wrapped steering wheel with controls for audio and the center stack display between the gauges. Unique badging finishes off the interior that includes a dash plaque signifying year of manufacture and serial number of each vehicle.
A full set of Saleen 302 badging and graphics will also be included to complement any one of the standard or custom Saleen paint schemes available on all Saleen vehicles. To match the beauty and refinement of such a remarkable car, Saleen has developed a new paint coating with BASF to launch with this vehicle. California Sunset is a cross between a golden yellow and the hues of a setting sun to create a truly unique color that changes with the light. As with the rest of the Saleen lineup, the 2015 S302 Black Label will receive a Saleen serialization and unique Saleen VIN. Each car is also hand signed by Steve Saleen, ensuring it has gone through the rigorous post-production quality control process. Each car also comes with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty from Saleen.
“This car pushes the boundaries of proportion, both functionally and aesthetically, while transforming the signature American pony car look into a new class of American Exotic”, explained Sean Smith, Design Director.
The 2015 Saleen 302 Black Label will have a starting price of $73,214 and is available for order from select Ford dealers nationwide, on saleen.com, or by calling Saleen’s Vehicle Sales Division at (800) 888-8945.

FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS PRESS RELEASE Feb 2, 2015 | Mustang
Saleen Automotive Inc. (OTCQB: SLNN) Corona, CA – (February 2, 2015)
A new generation of Mustang history has begun as Saleen Automotive ships the first versions of the all-new 302 Mustangs from their Southern California production facility. . Keeping with the formula that Saleen uses to produce its instantly recognizable vehicles since 1984, these first models are White Label versions and serve as the launch as Saleen ramps up production of the all-new Mustang.
The Saleen Advantage
As the introductory model to the Saleen 302 model lineup, the White Label touts an incredible list of features in a complete vehicle. The White Label utilizes a 302 cubic inch V8 engine with premium calibration to produce 450 naturally aspirated horsepower. Superior handling on the Saleen 302 is maintained by specific-rate suspension springs and sway bar bushings and links, with traction managed by the staggered 20″ wheels and Z-rated tires. Aerodynamics and aesthetics on the Saleen 302 include a high-volume intake grille, quarter window panel, and high downforce rear wing atop a Saleen taillight panel. Akin to the rest of the vehicles that Saleen produces, a limited number of these Mustangs will be produced and each one will receive a serialized number. Saleen is the only manufacturer in the world to offer a vehicle with this much power, remarkable styling, and limited number exclusivity with prices starting in the low $40,000s.
According to Bloomberg, “The U.S. auto industry is poised for an unprecedented sixth straight annual sales increase next year.” Combine this with the fact that the Ford Mustang outsold the Chevrolet Camaro and the Dodge Challenger combined in November of last year, according to autoguide.com, and you can see that Saleen 302 Mustang is headed for a historic year.
“These are the best Mustangs I have ever built” asserted Steve Saleen, CEO of Saleen Automotive. “We are in for a thrill ride as this car will take us to levels we have never seen before.”
More Than One Trick Pony
Along with the White Label model, Saleen also offers Yellow and Black Label versions for an enhanced experience. The Yellow Label comes equipped with a Saleen supercharged 302 ci engine. While the Black Label is the no holds barred, fully loaded big brother of the two and will be revealed at a special event on March 20, 2015. For more information, or to place an order for any of the three versions of the 302, visit saleen.com.

Sep 4, 2014 | Electric Cars, FOURSIXTEEN, Model S, Tesla
Driving an electric car is uniquely different than their piston-powered brethren, experiencing a performance-electric car reinvigorates the thrill of driving. However, the adrenaline rush you get from hearing the engine go to full throttle is a typically overlooked aspect of electric vehicles. Saleen Automotive has solved this problem in their all-electric FOURSIXTEEN performance sedan. Among the many aerodynamic and styling enhancements, the Model S-based vehicle also provides Saleen specific performance giving it better handling, efficient cooling, and quicker acceleration along with a distinct, naturally-occurring sound.
Inspired by the sound of a Formula One car and derived from Saleen’s racing heritage, the acceleration and deceleration tones give the new drivetrain note a dynamic range. “This is what the future sounds like,” explains Steve Saleen, CEO of Saleen Automotive, “Anytime you watch a movie or TV show about the future, vehicles make a distinctive sound. That is what we achieved with our FOURSIXTEEN. I think George Jetson would approve.”
Saleen has always been known for creating distinctive automotive sounds in their performance vehicles. Historically, their exhaust and supercharger notes are as thrilling to hear as they are to experience. The all new FOURSIXTEEN is no different, and thanks to their engineering team, will be known for being the first production electric car with a naturally produced sensory stimulating sound.
Saleen is currently taking orders for the Saleen Tesla FOURSIXTEEN. More information can be found by visiting saleen.com or calling (714) 400-2121.

Aug 17, 2014 | Electric Cars, FOURSIXTEEN, Model S
Saleen Automotive Inc. (OTCQB: SLNN) Monterey, CA – (August 17, 2014)
From the same automotive performance brand that brought the true American Supercar, the S7, Saleen has once again set precedence for a vehicle of epic proportions. The Tesla Model S based Saleen FOURSIXTEEN performance electric car was shown for the first time at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
“Tesla has created an entirely new class of American automobile”, explained Steve Saleen. “There are many similarities to this and how Ford created the ‘pony car’ class in 1964 with the Mustang, which is how these vehicles stand out from the rest of the pack.”
Standing out from the pack is Saleen’s specialty. Whether it’s their winning racing pedigree, expertly engineered Saleen vehicles, or instantly recognizable design. The Saleen legacy is perfectly packaged into the FOURSIXTEEN Model S and hinges on the mantra for the performance luxury electric car that ‘status quo won’t do’.
Purposefully advanced design
From the outside, the FOURSIXTEEN is a harmonious blend of aerodynamic aggressiveness and subtle classiness. Applying the same championship Saleen DNA used over the last three decades, Saleen has created a car that can drive the streets of Monaco and set records at Laguna Seca. From the Saleen crafted front fascia to the carbon fiber rear diffuser, the FOURSIXTEEN aerodynamic design is as inspired as it is functional.
Front aero management vents helps ensure that the Saleen FOURSIXTEEN model maintains a low pressure field as air acceleration increases around the chassis. Assisting the lower aero management is the unique V-shaped hood architecture efficiently directing hot air away from the drivetrain cooling system all while generating valuable downforce across the front section.
The rear fascia design finalizes the aerodynamic system as air moves across the cabin and onto the Saleen designed high-downforce decklid mounted spoiler. Mid-chassis air is directed across the carbon fiber accents stretching between the taillights. Supplying rear wake diffusion is a Saleen diffuser design that boosts aerodynamic downforce capability.
Electrified Performance
Just like the rest of the Saleen lineup, this car is more than just an eye catching aerodynamic package. Propelling the new FOURSIXTEEN is the 3-phase, four pole AC induction motor and copper rotor with the upgraded Saleen drivetrain including an all-new 11.39:1 final gear ratio for quicker acceleration. Also new for the FOURSIXTEEN is a Saleen specific MAXGRIPTM locking differential that allows each wheel to efficiently apply rotational force and maximize traction and grip in performance environments. All of the Saleen engineered driveline components increase efficiencies in torque management, give a track capable throttle response, and provide faster acceleration. Overall the FOURSIXTEEN is a well-balanced vehicle and sounds great too!
Electric motor cooling has also been made more productive from the Saleen high-efficiency drivetrain cooling system. Comprising the system is a larger volume radiator, upsampled cooling fans, and a high-flow water pump to help maintain consistent temperatures in more stressful performance applications.
“Electric drivetrains are unique in that they can generate an incredible amount of torque at zero RPM”, detailed Sven Etzelsberger, VP Advanced Engineering. “Our challenge was really to find methods to manage the energy that is generated by the electric motor and rotor assembly. With the FOURSIXTEEN we have successfully found a comprehensive solution to increase performance and harness power in an efficient manner.”
Suspension
Saleen’s design and engineering teams worked together to ensure a functional suspension that doesn’t sacrifice ride quality. The Saleen specific S4 track-calibrated suspension includes a monotube coilover, which works in conjunction with an S4 sway bar setup to increase cornering agility without sacrificing ride quality. The FOURSIXTEEN suspension system can also be ordered in a fully adjustable configuration, allowing the driver to easily increase stiffness for a day at the track and revert to a more streetable setting with simple adjustments.
The Stability Control System has also undergone a track tested performance enhancement. A software change gives the FOURSIXTEEN better cornering response and drivability by allowing the driver to maintain power as traction and vehicle weight distribution change.
Working together with the stability control software, wheel, tire, and S4 suspension system are the Saleen-specific brakes. The standard brake package in the FOURSIXTEEN include 14” 2-piece aluminum hat vented rotors and multi-piston front calipers with performance brake pads. An optional upgrade is the carbon ceramic disc brake system for maximum braking, cooling, and weight reduction. Saleen designed wheels fill out the wheel openings and add an air of performance luxury. All of this combined with the ZR-spec tires make sure the car will hug the corners, accelerate true in the straights, and stop effortlessly when needed.
Supercar inspired interior
The interior refinements of the Saleen FOURSIXTEEN are abundant. From the handpicked leather palette to the carbon fiber dash accents, the cabin environment is as supercar stylish as it is functionally chic. Starting with the seating, black leather is contrasted by perforated leather accents and Alcantara suede inlays providing a true luxury atmosphere.
“Our theme of an electric four-seat supercar really comes to life with the interior of this car”, said Sean Smith, Design Director. “Our design team spent a lot of time evaluating different materials, fitments, and finishes to accomplish the refined interior design of the FOURSIXTEEN while still keeping the modern sports car inspiration intact. I think the result is appropriate for this new class of electric American performance cars.”
A new center console has also been integrated into the interior redesign. This functional aspect gives the driver and front passenger additional center storage, a personal electronic device pocket, and a much needed cupholder all within arm’s reach.
Continuing the track-inspired exterior enhancements, the front and rear seating have been remolded to produce four full bucket seats complete with added bolstering to create a discerning interior that is fittingly built around the driver and passengers. Marrying the seating design to the rest of the cockpit are the Saleen tailor-made door panels and a full leather-wrapped dash both artistically complimented with hand sewn contrast stitching. The final stroke of interior craftsmanship draws attention to the seat shells which have been color matched to the black leather, creating a dynamic modern feel in the rear cabin.

This newest Saleen vehicle, which will debut at the 2017 LA Auto Show, has been 100-percent designed and engineered by Steve Saleen and his team at their base of operations in California. Saleen Automotive will commence manufacturing of the Saleen 1 immediately.
We invite all media to our Press Conference at the LA Auto Show at the Saleen Display in the West Hall Atrium on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 10:35am for a rst look at this new vehicle, and to garner complete and accurate details on this build. Saleen Automotive Inc. is a US-based corporation headed by CEO Steve Saleen and located in Corona, CA.
Jiangsu Saleen Automotive Technologies Group (JSAT) is a new, separately owned automotive company based in China. JSAT is building a billion dollar, modern manufacturing facility to produce Saleen vehicles in China for worldwide distribution.
The genesis of the Saleen 1 began with JSAT purchasing the tooling and remnants of the Artega GT. JSAT asked Steve Saleen to assist in modernizing the Artega GT for today’s sophisticated consumer. In reality, such an “update” was not feasible, which resulted in a new vehicle being designed and built from scratch.
Initially, all Saleen 1 vehicles will be built in North America. Eventually, at an appropriate time in the future, the JSAT factory will assume responsibility for an entirely new line of Saleen vehicles, including the Saleen 1. Additionally, all sales, marketing, distribution, service, and warranty-related activities relating to the Saleen 1 in the United States will be handled domestically.
